Ms. Perkins
Ms. Demetria Perkins is the Administrative Director of Mother & Daughter Child Nurturing Center. She began her journey in childcare over 32 years ago and fell in love with nurturing and teaching children. That love grew into her own business, where she excelled in the childcare field, building strong foundations with parents, children and the surrounding community.
Ms. Perkins has longevity within the childcare profession working with her second-generation of parents who were once children that she directly provided care for. She is also a Master Trainer to new teachers in the childcare field. Ms. Perkins often says, “Never underestimate the cognitive stage of a child; they will surprise you and they are a delight to the heart”.

Ms. Perkins is the mother of seven children and the grandmother of 19. “Childcare is not just my profession; it’s my second nature. I believe that with positive nurturing and an engaging environment coupled together, we can successfully Rear Today’s Children N-2 Tomorrow’s Positive, Productive Adults”.

Ms. Perkins is currently in pursuit of her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University.

Mrs. Perkins-Weathersby
Mrs. Olethia Perkins- Weathersby is the owner of Mother & Daughter Child Nurturing Center. She embarked on her childcare journey when she was at the young age of 14, working for her mother, Demetria Perkins. Her passion was to teach children through dance; that love followed Olethia through high school where she mentored young teens through Drill “Step” as a positive outlet for teenage girls.
She began her professional childcare journey in 2014, by going back to school to pursue her Associates’ Degree in Early Childhood Education. Within that journey, Mother & Daughter Child Nurturing Center was born.
Ms. Olethia is a firm believer that children are “all born with the potential to be great, it is the tools that we prepare them that will determine their success”.
